Hey there, hi there, ho there -you're as welcome as can be...

Today the people who are buying our house have their home inspection.

It should go well - there's really nothing wrong with the house outside of it definitely needing a paint job this coming Spring. So hopefully, after 4pm today we can breathe easy and start focusing on November 28th which is our scheduled closing day.

Moving on......

So, not sure if anyone's noticed but I've been less than gaga over my boy Jason these days.
(Well, he still makes my heart pitter patter. I mean, you have eyes - just look at him.)

But....

His fiance and I are acquaintances of sorts via social media - and truthfully - I think she's adorable. Though I do sometimes feel that she can be "out there" a bit - he loves her, and what's wrong with that? She's certainly beautiful, and does lots of charity work and seems to be very kind - and she does make me laugh. She's pretty funny.

So because I like her, it gave my gushing over him that sort of weird feeling -- as if I had a crush on a friend's husband and UGH - who would do that?!?!? Not this girl! That would just be wrong.

So now... the crush, sadly - is over.
I just don't feel the same about him anymore. (No, it's not you...it's me.)

In my wallet, $5. But I have access to more, I just didn't grab it today.

3. What’s a word that rhymes with DOOR?
Whore. (Stop, did I say that aloud?) I meant Roar. Sorry, just read an article that irritated me.

Earth rules -- and I'm ready to kick any martian's ass who says otherwise.

5. Who is the 4th person on your missed call list on your cell phone?
My sister

6. What is your favorite ring tone on your phone?

7. What shirt are you wearing?
A really old Champion sweatshirt

8. Do you label yourself?
Nah. I don't like to paint myself with just one brush....

9. Name the brand of the shoes you’re currently wearing?
At the moment I'm wearing socks. But prior to that, New Balance cross trainers.

26. Do you like someone?
I like everyone. :) Oh, do you mean a boy? Well aside from G - then Jason, but of course. And I am finding myself having a little crush on Charlie Hunnum. But my SIL loves him and she called him first so....

Fortunately - no.

50. Have you been burned by love?
Like a moth to a flame.... haven't we all?

Winning....

Hopefully today was the beginning of the season for the Sox. They needed this win badly, for a variety of reasons -- but they aren't entirely out of the woods yet. They absolutely need better starting pitching. And dare I say it at risk of sounding prejudiced - better catching. I know Salty is going to get there, and offensively he's seemingly good; but his defense is less than stellar at the moment. And this is the big leagues baby, I just don't think this team can afford to spoon feed a catcher. It hasn't worked in the past, I don't know how it can work now. I suppose that I'd have rather seen a more seasoned catcher, that's all.

It was really a fun day today - the first time I was able to watch the Opening Day game while I was at work. Gone are the days of listening to it on the radio. Love it.

Usually whenever the military jets do a fly by for Gillette or Fenway, we see them over our house; today we saw them over the store. We heard the rumbling, and ran to the window where we saw them fly overhead. Pretty cool. Actually - when I ran to Starbucks to get a coffee, I ran into one of my customers who showed me this on her cell phone - and she promtply posted it onto YouTube as well. Good times...

On the downside today, Princess Petunia has some bizarre random virus; she woke up at 4am with a slight fever and stomache ache - but fell back asleep and woke up fine. She looked flipping adorable actually -- it was Red Sox day and she was in a vintage Johnny Damon jersey with pig tails and feeling fine. So off to school she went.....but after school, mild fever reared it's ugly head and she napped. She's up now and feeling better, actually eating - but still looks so tired. Hopefully a good night sleep will do her some good.

In the meantime, this girl is snuggled up on the sofa with the Princess Petunia...sipping on a glass of wine and enjoying all the postgame online chatter. Tonight is going to be low key, just like this - without even a game plan for dinner. And you know what, I sort of like it that way for a change. I'd love a cheap Chinese food night, but we will have to see what the majority rule is.

Happy to be home. Happy to be with the family. Guess I'm "winning" too, today.

Thoughts for Today....

1. Buffalo is delicious. I've never had it before, and I sell it. So, I try to cook with what I sell because if I love it- it makes it that much easier for me to convince someone else to try it. I sell game meat that is free range and organic from a very reputable company - and I brought it in because so many of my customers are chefs and mention that they make game meals; or they are just customers who have randomly mentioned that they eat game meat - and so I thought it would be a good fit. Turns out that it is, it sells very well. But I hadn't personally tried it all, and tonight I did. I grilled the steaks with sea salt, black pepper & garlic, drizzled with truffle balsamic reduction paired with a simple salad. It smelled fantastic but what surprised me the most was that it is reminiscent of lamb. I knew it would be gamey, and while I don't know what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting that exactly.

2. While I know it's not exactly panic time....the Sox desperately need a win. If for nothing else but a change in psyche for them. And it's far too soon in the season to be so frustrated while watching them. While I know Jason is our backup catcher, truthfully Saltalamacchia doesn't look all that comfortable behind the plate - probably all the more reason why he needs to be there. At the same time, I felt so much better seeing Jason come in for last night's game and catching tonight as well. Now if Dice K doesn't screw it up, maybe we can get a win in the column.

3. No news on the house front... which is frustrating. We have an open house this weekend and someone requested information this week that one typically doesn't request unless they're contemplating putting an offer in. Trying not to care.....

4. Patience -- is it always a virtue?
I try daily to keep my cool and patience when my kids push buttons; I try to remind myself that it is their job to test their boundaries with us on a regular basis. But sometimes I lose my temper and I feel so disappointed. It happens, and that's part of being a parent; but I hate bringing it to their level and yelling...really yelling. I'm the parent, right!? I shouldn't have to get that way! At the same time, sometimes it puts it all in perspective for them when I really raise my voice and get LOUD. I explained to my Princess Petunia (who was the culprit this evening) that no matter how much she meltsdown, or how angry she gets - that her parents are always her safe place and love her no matter what. And while it makes me feel good that she knows that, (and the hug after all the arguing solidifies that confidence) and my lack of patience was something she needed at that moment to put things in perspective - I still wish I didn't have to do that.

Parenting is a tough, tough job. And it's one that helps us continue to grow as adults because we're always learning from the experience. These little people are looking to us to show them what will be expected from them in life -- and the reward of them being happy, grounded and successful on a personal level -- is worth more than anything else in the world. If losing my patience on occasion is going to help them be good people in life, then I will gladly do it, many times a day if need be.

Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow....

So, for the last few weeks I've been following the online persona of the new girl in Jason's life. (enter long silence HERE.)

Okay. So, I have to say I'm very, very, very surprised. She's not quite the person I'd have thought he would've attached himself to. Of course the caveat that I'm going to use for the following rant is that 1.) I don't know Jason personally, and 2.) I don't know this girl personally either. So the observations I'm making are based strictly upon 1.) the persona that she is putting out there and 2.) my perception of how I think he is, which of course is based on nothing other than...my perception.

I am shocked to see that he would be involved with someone who uses his name as if it was a clothing accessory. Seemingly a name dropper, flashy showy party type of person -- I rather thought he would err on the side of discretion for someone he wanted to be involved with. Someone who might keep their relationship special and private, rather than a party for everyone to go to. And a rather snarky party at that.

But then again - who's to say this person is someone serious in his life? Maybe she is just that -- a little fun, nothing too serious so no big deal. I mean, there's something refreshing about a girl who puts it all out there; at the same time, isn't there something to be said about having just a little decorum in your online personality? I might be a little too uptight about things, but I'm sorry -- I'm nobody, and I don't swear or say crass things online because you just don't know who's going to see it -- and, I'm not crass or vulgar anyway, but that's just me. But, if I was in the public eye by my own doing -- or by association, as in this case -- I'd be that much more careful with my words. Call it uptight - call it class, you choose.

I think one of the things that I love about him (aside from the obvious) is that he was married to his college girlfriend, and is Dad to three little girls. He's always been so very private and that to me just makes him seem so much more "normal" than some of these people who live the wild party life when they're "celebrity athletes". As much as I "love"him, I was really sad when I heard he was getting divorced; you don't want to see anyone who's got a family life have it fall apart -and I really hope he finds someone he can share his life with again.

Who knows - maybe that girl is it.
But my God, this girl really hopes that it isn't.

I'm so excited...and I just can't hide it....

We are less than 30 minutes from the opening pitch! And dare I say it but the sun is actually starting to peek out a bit in my neck of the woods. Sort of bummed to see Saltimacchia warming up, but hey...he is the future, so I need to just accept it. (They just announced Youk! SOOO fun....!)

I'm going home and having a baseball party with the kiddies tonight. G and I aren't going to be indulging in the dinner fare but that's okay - the kids don't mind. It's Fenway Franks with the fixings, potato salad, pickles and....Cracker Jack. I should be home by the 3rd inning, and they are anxiously awaiting. Just wait til we have opening day at Fenway.... the feast will be on!

What's on tap for the weekend is fortunately nothing of too much pressure and just lots of fun. Gymnastics & Basketball...maybe a movie; and then Sunday, it's a rollerskating day with all my girlfriends and their kids. There's like 25 of us going and it should be a great time. Maybe we'll even get to squeeze a open house or showing in there somewhere.

I love when there's nothing much going on and we can just take our time and relax at home. As much as I love going places, there's no place like home....

There's something to be said about a glass half full. About knowing when to say when.

Okay, so now I know why I've been musically deprived....sort of.

Last night I caught up where I left off on Grey's Anatomy for Season 6.
Oh. My. God.

The finale.... absolutely insane.

So, not only am I beyond excited to watch Season 7 (no spoilers please!) - I'm also thrilled to hear music I've missed out on. Some of my favorite artists I discovered via Grey's, so truly - not watching explains some of the musical doldrums I've been in. Never mind the fact that now I'm not at work near a Newbury Comics where I can run in real quick for a music fix.

That aside....I miss my "friends". McDreamy, McSteamy, McWhiney (Merideth..at times) and everyone else.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Netflix.
You may be my new crush.

(Now if there only was a station that played Jason "On Demand", this girl would be in heaven!)

Happy Sunday...

1.) Today is officially reporting day for Catchers & Pitchers. And, speaking of Catchers....who knew that in the last issue of NorthShore Magazine (Feb/March), the one my store was mentioned it -- two pages over, was a picture of Jason?!? The two of us, featured in the same magazine just pages apart.... who'da thunk it?

2.) Bieber Fever? Well, this girl is going to have it for a two hour window with Princess Petunia today. We're going to see "Never say Never" today, and she can't wait. Me? Well, two hours of giggling little girls can't be a bad thing. Very, very cute.

3.) Mike's Pastry on Comcast Sportsnet? Seriously, two great things that taste great together - sports & sweets. I'm watching Nate Robinson at Mike's Pastry, which is actually quite funny because you can tell he's not a local guy. Just the way he annunciates the "North End" - his inflections are different. (Listen, I'm all about grammar and vocabulary and articulation. It's an interest of mine. Call me geeky, I know....)

4.) Come hell or high water.... this girl is going back to yoga on Tuesday morning. It's about flipping time. I'm getting back into the swing of things this week - yoga, then running a week from tomorrow. I hate having to stop during the holidays because you get into such a good groove, and in such great shape - and then you have to start all over again. But fortunately, muscle has memory - and it won't take long. The best part of it isn't so much how I look - but how I feel after. Happier because I feel healthier; cleaner because all those toxins are released; and just more peaceful within because I feel better overall. Endorphins, those are some pretty great things....

It's the most wonderful time, of the year.....

No, it's not Christmas.
But it's pretty darn close!

It's Valentine's Weekend -- which means it's the official beginning of Baseball season.

Pitchers & Catchers (and a particular Catcher...) report, and it's Red Sox all day - and all night on sports television from now until hopefully, October.

Ah yes, football - you were fun, and I enjoyed you. But move over, because baseball is back in town.

You Are Baseball Games

You like old fashioned things. You're one of those people who values tradition.

You enjoy a slow pace of life. You believe that life is all about enjoying every moment.

You love the changing of the seasons, and you look forward to what each season brings.

You are smart and a bit obsessive. You become very immersed in your interests.

He likes me...he really, really likes me!

Or at least Facebook would like me to believe so.

If any of you are connected with the social media nightmare Facebook -- then you'll understand what I mean. So, I log on quickly this morning because I got a message that a girlfriend tagged me in an email; when I get to my home page, there's a prompt of "people you may know", or "find friends" - and guess who's on there...? It says Jason Varitek. I know, right?!?!?

So, I click on the picture for the profile and immediately realize it's not him....which isn't really all that tough to do.

But seriously - it was the weirdest thing to see on my page.

Stupid Facebook... you'd think at least they'd do something for verification of authenticity so at least the next time they suggest I know someone -- I might really want to! Not to suggest that he wouldn't want to be my friend on Facebook, of course....

Hmmph! (She says, flipping her hair....)

Friday, January 21, 2011

Hey there, hi there, ho there - you're as welcome as can be!

Clearly, I've given the blog a face lift.

I was bored. You know, I go through these phases where I feel like the site looks stagnant - and while there aren't any templates that are exactly the way I'd like to have my place - at least I've got the opportunity to freshen up every now and again.

Oh - American Idol update: So, as much as I loved, loved, loved Simon Cowell - the truth is, I didn't miss him these last two nights. I mean, maybe in the future I will - but for now, I'm good with Steven Tyler & Jennifer Lopez as replacements. Sure it's all fuzzy fuzzy right now, but first off - Jennifer is stunning. STUNNING. And, she's seemingly genuinely nice. Love her. Steven Tyler on the other hand - is already making lacivious comments which I wondered how someone who's practically had little girls throwing themselves on him his whole life would be in a role of judgement. That aside - he's just a riot. And, they are no joke -- its not like Ellen DeGeneres as a judge, who has zero insight in the music industry. These two are the real deal - and I have respect for them as artists in the industry, so why wouldn't they be fantastic judges.

Speaking of theatrics and talent...tomorrow, I'm taking my son T on an audition. It seems that Mr. Mark Wahlberg is making yet another Boston based film and there is a casting call for boys his age. He is beyond excited - and I have to keep reminding him that truly, they may just look at him - ask a question or two - and then he may never hear from them again. Or....maybe he will. It's a experience none the less, and that in of itself is fun.

Tomorrow night....it's the "gathering of the girls". For those of you who have been reading regularly - you know that myself and my best girlfriends used to meet monthly and have themed potlucks; well - life has gotten in everyone's way and so now some of us might meet in smaller groups throughout the year - but all 14 of us get together at Christmas. The girl who always hosts in December had surgery so we've postponed until tomorrow night. Guaranteed to be a night full of laughs and I should have some fun pictures to share.

Speaking of pictures - I've got some great ones of the Pat's game that we'd all like to forget about. I'll share them, once the disappointment fades a little bit more.

Besides, pitchers & catchers report for Spring Training on Valentine's Day....the best Valentine's Day gift ever.

In the meantime, life goes on....
However you're spending your weekend, I hope it's filled with laughter and love.

Merry Merry, Mistletoe and Cheers!

Why is it 5 minutes to midnight and I'm blogging..?
Because I'm exhausted; but need time to unwind.

Christmas dinner is mostly prepped and par-cooked; I only have to partially cook the potatoes & eggplant tomorrow, and the shrimp for cocktail and antipasto/salad are done that day - as is the asparagus. And of course the tenderloin and ham are cooked that day as well. But the lobster bisque is complete, the stuffed peppers are made and the lasagna is done. Kitchen is clean....floors are washed, garbage is out....and the Champagne has been consumed. Yes, I did say champagne. A good champagne at that - and a whole bottle of it no less. I deserve it, I do believe...

Did I mention that the store had an amazing night??? I wasn't quite expecting the crowd I received. I am absolutely exhausted.

Fortunately, most of the gifts are wrapped; I still have a few to do tomorrow but most are done. I have work in the morning....and then it's home to bathe the kids, set the table and extension with chairs, do the place settings.....and then be a guest for Christmas Eve.

Before the chaos known as Christmas morning takes place. Did I mention I have three grown men having a "Sleepover" on Christmas Eve? No? Hmm. Well, I do. I did refer to it as "chaos", right?

Listen, truth of the matter is -- I love, love, love this time of year. Sure, I'm exhausted and it's hustle and bustle -- but seriously, it's so worth it. There's nothing better than sitting around the table with your family and friends and enjoying good times, good food and some laughter. I love being hostess - and while I struggle with not having to have everything "perfect", I do get to enjoy the day despite it being alot of work. I enjoy this kind of work....it's not painful, it's painstaking - and that's entirely different. I try so very hard to have everyone be comfortable and enjoy themselves -- that's a good thing, not bad - so it's not something not to enjoy.

I don't know that I'll get to blog before Christmas, so if not -- I wish all of you who happen to stop in and read (even if you don't comment!) a happy and beautiful Christmas. I hope you are surrounded by love and laughter - and I hope that you smile and enjoy the beauty of the holiday.

Always.....
Rebecca

PS: While I'm so very happy that Jason is staying for another year - and I know that Santa gave me that gift early -- I still would like to just throw out there that if the Captain is a wine fan -- and he reads my blog (hoping, wishing, praying...silly, I know!) - someone, anyone - let me know what he drinks. 'Mkay? Great. Thanks!

Just breathe....

So, I've been MIA for a day or two because this is the height of my busy season.
But have no fear, I will be back shortly.

I'm just too tired to have anything fun or witty to say.

And I FORGOT to DVR the Captain on the Today show!?!?! If anyone knows if it's on YouTube or has a link - could you please share?

This girl would forever be in your debt.....

Over the river and to the woods, to Grandmother's house we go....

1. What is your favorite Christmas Movie?
My absolute all time favorite is "Miracle on 34th St." - but I love, love, love the one with Natalie Wood.

2. Favorite Christmas Song?
This is a tough question. I'm sort of a purist, so most of my favorites are the classics -though I love them redone by artists such as Josh Grobin, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, etc. I typically love "Oh, Holy Night", "What Child is This", "Do you hear what I hear", etc.

But....I also love some newer songs, such as "Believe" by Josh Groban, "Where are you Christmas" by Faith Hill - and who didn't get choked up hearing "Buy these shoes" by Bob Carlisle when it first came out.

3. Favorite Holiday Memory?
I have so many great holiday memories. My favorite is a tie: surprising my sister & aunt w. my Mother after she moved to Florida. I have that one on tape....and they had no clue. She was hiding in the bathroom, and then came out to the dinner table without anyone noticing until she was there. Priceless...

Second, was G surprising me with a spectacular scavenger hunt around the house....just to end up back where I started with a beautiful diamond ring waiting for me. The hunt was even better than the reward - because the sentiment and romance that went into it - was invalueable. It wasn't my original diamond either, but a holiday "upgrade", if you will.

4. What kind of cookie/treat do you like to make?
Um, not sure if you're new to this blog, but I cook. I don't bake. For lack of a better term, I suck at baking.

5. Have you ever made an igloo? Like a real igloo?
No, but I've many a mean snow fort in my day. I was a kid during the Blizzard of '78 - and man, did we have snow. But in general, we had a ton more snow when I was little than we get today.

6. Do you love Starbucks?
As a matter of fact - I do. After years of throwing away cups of poorly made coffee - I finally get a perfect cup nearly every time. I was paying $2.10 at Dunks for a medium that was either burned, tasted like soap, wasn't made properly, or some other atrocity. Now, I pay $2.25 for a Grande and it's perfect every flipping time. Sure - it took me some time to get used to a stronger cup of coffee but it's so worth it. And no one makes a better peppermint mocha!

7. What makes the perfect Snowman?
All of its imperfections! It's all about the love....

8 What is your favorite part about Christmas?
What isn't there to love? I love it all. I can't say which one is my favorite part actually -- I love to give gifts, I love to cook dinner, I love to decorate the tree - I love to drive around looking at Christmas lights with kids, I love receiving everyone's Christmas cards. And best of all, I love the sense of spirit and happiness that everyone seems to be in this time of year.

9. Best gift you have ever received?
I've been fortunate to have received so many great gifts; I'm incredibly sentimental, so when I say I don't have a "best" gift - I mean it. However, my most treasured possession is also one of my most sentimental gifts - and it's a home made recipe book that my parents gave me when I was in my 20's; it features all of their recipes that are my childhood favorites - and new ones that they thought I might like. Everything is printed and in protective binders in a three ring notebook.

10. What is the snowman's name on Rudolph?
There's a snowman in Rudolph?
Oh...the narrator?! I don't know. But Burl Ives is his voice. (It took a second for that to click for me!)

11.Silver or Gold?
Depends on what, and where. For example, I prefer silver or white gold jewelry. But I love brushed gold matte ornaments - or gold brocade on burgundy velvet.

12. What is your favorite Christmas decoration?
The tree. And of course -fabulously scented candles because it's all about ambiance!

13. What's your Christmas decorating style?
I'd say overall traditional leaning towards victorian - but I have lots of fun and whimsical thrown in there.

14. Do you hang stockings?
No...the kids don't really know about stocking stuffers yet. Thank God!

15. How many days do you celebrate Christmas?
Did something change...? Isn't it only one day??

16. What was your favorite ornament on the tree as a child?
The play doh ornaments my Mom would let me make.

17. Where will you be spending this Christmas?
At home. Christmas is at my house - and it's always dinner that is a huge celebration.

18. What is your least favorite Christmas movie?
I don't know actually.

19. What do you want for Christmas this year?
World peace. The cure for Cancer. Jason Varitek.
(What?? It's not like I'm asking for a million dollars or anything...! )

20. Have you been naughty or nice this year?
I'm always, painfully, boring and nice. G wishes that there was a bit more naughty in me, but hey - a girl can't be perfect, right?

Yes Rebecca, there IS a Santa Claus....

And this girl just got her present early....

I could go on and on about why I think this was a smart decision; but rather than get into the guts of it all, I'd rather bask in the glory.

What else to chat about....let's see.
I did get a great hair cut today - I needed it badly. My hair was too long, too blah. It was the perfect pick me up on an otherwise drab day. Until of course, I got the aforementioned news.

Tomorrow is the night that we are decorating the tree at home, and the kids are psyched. It's report card night - and to reward good grades, we always order out. So we'll be listening to music, decorating the tree - enjoying some takeout and for dessert: pumpkin and gingerbread donuts for all. I love, love, love Fridays - and especially when they're filled with happiness and laughter. There's no better way to end a week....

Thursday's Thoughts...

1. Josh Duhamel looks just like Joran Van Der Sloot. Seriously - are they brothers from another Mother? Last night, we were watcing "Ramona & Beezus" which he was in - and I couldn't help but notice the stunning resemblence. Looks like perfect casting to me should a movie be made in the future...
.

One's cute - the other's crazy. You know they say everyone has a twin....

2. I'm a total Maxxinista. Okay, what girl doesn't love to find fabulous things at a fraction of the price? I'm oh-so-thankful to have found a new perfume this past week at an incredible discount: Betsy Johnson. Love, love, love it! I got a gift set at typically the cost when buying online at a discount shop, but even lower and with no shipping or handling. I love the immediate gratification of shopping. And I just don't get to do it that often... I will make Wrentham soon...I will! (Maybe if I keep telling myself that, it will happen...)

3. Note to self: No more bacon wrapped filet. Okay, so the last two days I was doing a quick detox - no meat protein, etc., just fruits, veggies & broths. Tonight, I decided to have steak because I was making it for Gene and I was really tired today so I figured I could use the iron boost. I wasn't tired from my diet - I was tired from being up at 3a.m. and not being able to sleep - and having a busy day today with trucks, etc. So since I don't need to diet or anything I figured I'd join him in a nice piece of bacon wrapped filet mignon. Mmmkay, really not feeling so great right now - and I should know better. Pork is something I sometimes have issues with....

4. I've developed a new found appreciation for "Family Ties". We have a new cable channel called "The Hub" and they play great, family friendly television shows. We have been watching at least two episodes of "Family Ties" a night - and while I loved it as a kid, I really love it as an adult. Really great writing and they all had such comedic timing...I enjoyed the show because of the stories as a child, but as an adult I appreciate them on a completely different level.

5. The Captains. The Sox won't go after Jeter, just as the Yankees won't go after Jason. Come on now.... I get that a paycheck is a paycheck, but I've got to believe that not everyone is like Johnny Damon. The rivalry between the two clubs runs too deep for the two Captains to swap locations.

Please don't go...don't go... I'm begging you to stay...

I am trying really hard to disregard the news that three teams are interested in bringing Jason on as a mentor.

Why can't he stay here and mentor?!?!
(Yes, I'll admit that there is a slight whine in that statement.)

He hasn't even made it to my store yet! Surely he drinks wine now and again.... he can't leave Boston without making a stop there... can he?

No, of course not.
I just refuse to believe that he's going to leave.
Refuse.
(Slight stomp of the foot. Okay, maybe a slight hair toss too.)

An early request for Christmas....

Dear Santa,
I don't ask for much....truly, I don't.
But please, please, please...let the Red Sox keep Jason on for what will probably be a final year.

Listen...
He's more valueable to us - then to anyone else at this point. He's a leader, a mentor - and if he is our "back up" catcher, then my God - does it get any better than that?!

C'mon.
Give a girl just one last year of Summer time with the Captain.

Say it isn't so...!

Was Sunday the last game of seeing Jason in a Sox uniform?
I refuse to believe it. Refuse.

I still believe that we will see him in the uniform for one more season....then, I may regrettably have to realize that the era of the Captain may be over.

But one more season, that's all I'm asking for.
Just one more....
