Pump up the volume...

Depending on the day, my mood - even the weather, different songs will get me through a tough part in my run. It may be that I need to kick it up a bit and run a little harder; or it may be that I’ve started off too quickly and I need to slow it down to keep my pace. And though I’ve got thousands of songs on my IPod (okay, I’m exaggeration, only about 250) that I put in specifically for working out there are just a few that really do the trick when I need them to.

And I figured I'd share them here with "you".

Metalingus (Edge’s WWE theme) – Alter Bridge

Fighter - Christina Aguilera

(Those two songs I sometimes listen to over and over and over again. They just keep me inspired...)

I'm not Afraid - Remy Zero

She Sells Sanctuary - The Cult

The Time of My Life - David Cook (preferably the version from American Idols finale; I have both studio and live, but to hear the emotion in his voice from the live presentation that really makes me feel inspired.)

Run to the Hills - Iron Maiden

Christmas in Sarajevo - TransSiberian Orchestra

Fuel - Metallica

Cowboy - Kid Rock

Me & Bobby McGee - Janis Joplin

No Air - Jordin Sparks/Chris Brown

Wannabe - Spice Girls

Boston - More than a Feeling

Kryptonite - Three Doors Down

Carry on my Wayward Son - Kansas

London Bridges - Fergie

Shipping off to Boston - Dropkick Murphys

What music motivates you, whether it's while working out - or just in general?

Fuel. For some reason that band gets me moving.

Mr. Brightside by the killers too.

I love Mr Brightside too - it's in my IPod. :) Great call on Fuel too!

Believe it or not, dinner next week might actually be doable. Sorry I haven't emailed - work is miserable. Check your schedule and let me know!

Fighter is on my workout playlist too!

Some of my others are:
Whine Up - Kat Deluna
Life is a Highway - Rascal Flatts
Eye of the Tiger - Survivor (don't laugh!)
Swing - Trace Adkins

And not necessarily because they're inspiring... I go for the fast pace/beat for my workout music. :)
