The Perfect Man.....

Sigh....
I think I'm in love with my nail tech, Tom.

I'm not really in love with him, I'm only kidding.

But what I do love is:

He lights up when he sees me walk in.....he'll take me first over a client who's been waiting.
He knows exactly what I like, without me having to constantly remind him. (Very thin, very natural looking and square. There's nothing worse than nails that look too big for your fingers. Ugh.)

He asks me about my day.
He gives a fantastic hand massage.

And then I don't see him again for two weeks.

And then the love affair starts over again.
(It probably doesn't hurt that I tip exceptionally well. Finding a good nail tech is not easy, trust me. They're well worth the tip.)

I'm not one for manicures--I'm kind of the "natural" type, but I LOVE those hand massages when I do get them. So I can't blame you at all for this crush.

Laurie: hahaa, I AM sort of a princess when it comes to that sort of stuff! ;)

Cheryl: I think I'd have a crush on anyone who gave me a massage! You just don't realize how sore you are (including your hands) until someone else touches them.

Jennifer - Thanks for coming by! YES, a good nail tech is hard to find - and good to hold on to!

BWH: Hahhaa, Yup. There's people who work at nail salons - and then there are nail techs. Sort of like computer techs - but only w. nails! ;) You - being a guy - would probably not appreciate the difference. :)

Mr Fabulous: I can not divulge my tipping techniques...I may be stalked by techs worldwide!!! ;)

Nail Tech, I thought you were talking about construction. Lots of Nail places in Toronto, lots of small Asians with masks on.

After reading your "100" I'll bet you'd like Skippy Extra Crunchy peanut butter spread on a graham cracker square, eaten in small bites while sipping hot coffee.

Oh Rebecca!!!! I feel the same way about my nail tech although she's a woman, Jessica. I've been going to her for over seven years and she knows exactly how I like my nails (I wear mine just like you, very natural...square but just a little bit rounded on the corners).
She is an absolute GOD SEND! I've been wanting to write about her on my blog for a while now but I haven't been sure how to go about it. I'm gonna have to give this more thought and find a way.

I've literally never had any kind of nail work done, including the feet. And it shows. But the hand massage sounds awesome!

CA: Thanks for stopping by! YES, that sounds delicious! ;)

Chesney Girl: My friends and I refer to those as our "girl crushes" - the hairdressers and nail salon people who are so very cool, and attend to our every needs! ;) hahahha

Kristi: I saw that on your blog, you're funny. No worries - who does their toesies in the winter anyway??

I havent had my nails done since before I was pregnant with Incrediboy. I still dont feel like dealing with the commitment again, but it IS nice to have pretty nails!

Okay I have to say that coffee and peanut butter is my favorite flavor combo. How weird is that?
